3 years to the day after our incredible uke concert with Jake Shimabukuro and Michael Powers at Comma Coffee, the tiny instruments are back in the capable hands of two amazing ladies, plus a few special guests. Indigo Bistro presents Brittni Paiva
The day after the Minden festival, Brittni performs her intimate solo concert during Sunday Brunch at Indigo Bistro. Affectionately called Hawaii's ukulele darling and slack key supergirl for her remarkable instrumental proficiency, Brittni walked away with the 2005 Na Hoku Hanohano “Most Promising Artist Award” at the age of 16 for her debut recording, Brittni X 3 in which she played all three parts—ukulele, guitar and bass. Now 20 with multiple awards under tow, Miss Paiva is a delight to behold in concert.

With special guest Dominator, (the uke world's best friend with his wonderful UkeTabs site.)

Friday, October 23 • Carson City
Comma Coffee presents Laurence Juber
Although originally known for his time spent alongside Sir Paul McCartney in Wings, LJ has become one of the preeminent guitarists on the planet on his own. A double Grammy winner, his musicianship can be heard in numerous movies and TV shows. His concerts are something to behold, offering a mix of Beatles and Wings classics, Harold Arlen standards, and original compositions that are as fresh and melodic as the well known tunes. His previous appearances at Comma Coffee have been early sellouts and although this posting is quite early, I wouldn't wait too long to get your tickets!
